Our age-appropriate classes combine games, videos, crafts, music and activities to bring the Bible to life and equip kids to know God is real, grow to be like Jesus, and show his love to others.

CCYG is a community-based youth group who partners with local churches. We create a high energy atmosphere for students which opens doors to spiritual conversations. We have separate programs for both Middle School and High School age groups.

This is a difficult world our children are growing up in. Surrounded by a babble of voices all claiming allegiance, many children are confused and insecure. Catechism class is both educational and experiential. We ask our children to think, to process, to act on the values and thoughts that mark them as Christians.

Students in the 7th and 8th grades meet weekly during Sunday School with the pastor. The first year we look at Martin Luther’s Small Catechism. The second year we explore the holy Bible. At the end of the second year, the 8th grade students will write a confession of their faith which they will share with the congregation on the day we celebrate the Rite of Confirmation. This class is important in keeping our children faithful and safe.
